Enterprise-Grade Server Technology

One can't provide quality web hosting without ensuring the underlying server architecture is up to the task. Because modern web applications demand powerful web hosting platforms, our web hosting packages are based on of truly enterprise grade hardware; we use entirely Dell 1950/2950 servers running 2x Intel Xeon Quad Core Processors, each with 32GB of RAM. Our hard disks are also among the "elite" in technology - all servers run Seagate Cheetah 15,000RPM Enterprise Storage SAS 300GB drives, with Dell PERC6 raid controllers. The resulting in impressive redundancy, incredible performance, and the power to energise our clients' web sites.

Of course, powerful hardware is best matched with high-performance software. And here too we deliver, giving all of our clients a high-quality LAMP hosting solution. At the core, we run CentOS Linux (an enterprise grade Linux distribution), along with the industry standard Apache http daemon. Web application functionality is provided via the latest stable releases of PHP and MySQL (in addition to the latest stable releases of Perl, Python, and a range of other development tools). Expert maintenance and administration makes this a complete package; all of our servers are fully managed by experienced system administrators in Australia.

We operate in 2 Data Centres in Australia - Equinix, Mascot and Soul/Comindico, Sydney CBD. This arrangement ensures our network does not have a single point of failure and in turn we can offer our clients geographical redundancy for real-time mission critical applications or for near line backup solutions.

Centrally located in Sydney, Equinix's data centre makes up the physical home for our high-grade servers, and in turn, our clients' web hosting packages. Like any good home, safety, security and reliability are top priorities. Our data centre offers, among other things:

Uninterruptible power supplies, supported by generators, UPS systems, and Caterpillar generators. 44-hours of generator fuel are stored on site.

Air-cooled chilled-water cooling system, keeping the data centre temperature constant at approximately 22°Celsius.

Sophisticated security, including 24 hour a day, 365 days a year surveillance and biometric security devices.

A technologically advanced server hosting environment, specifically designed for the reliable co-location of enterprise-grade server platforms.

Powerful Network

We own and operate our own network, including the routers, switches and the contracts with the upstream providers. We maintain 100Mbit IP Transit with Soul, Vocus and 1000Mbps with Equinix Exchange. Underlying network hardware, like our physical server platforms, are also enterprise-grade: all routers and switches are high-performance Cisco solutions. The net result is a high-reliability, premium bandwidth solution that can easily meet even the most robust of network requirements.
